Abstract

A life-skills program is a crucial, values-based course of study intended to provide learners with usable approaches for choosing actions that are beneficial and supportive of well-being. Through encouraging introspection, this approach helps teenagers assess their own talents, abilities, and growth markers with clear-eyed judgment. It also strengthens social flexibility, helping young people fit within their surroundings and choose options that reflect responsibility toward others. Instead of depending on one-way teaching, life-skills instruction applies active learning techniques, including team-based tasks, idea-generation activities, hands-on enactments, learning games, and organized argumentation. An ordinary lesson flow starts by briefly examining what learners already understand about a chosen situation. Next come student-to-student conversations, practical rehearsal via acted scenarios, and then tailored take-home tasks that prompt learners to use the new abilities with relatives and peers. In the end, this guided, step-by-step coaching format releases natural strengths and steers learners toward socially positive ways of living.
